Beijing Box Hostel

Xiaobao, “the Precious” in Mandarin, is the new member of Chinesebox Hostel. This article is also the first official launch in recording Xiaobao’s arriving. Therefore, this article meant a lot to the growth of the kitten or to your understanding of the kitten. But, in order to introduce Xiaobao properly, the story shall begin at the mother cat, Bitinu.

It is told that Bitinu must be a fairy in her last life. High-profile, dainty and charming all the time, she always actively throws herself into your bosom within the first eight-minute she encounters you. Also, she never forgets to dress up herself even when straying.

One night, Bitinu secretly ate the bird, Xiaobao, in the cage, yet the cage was left intact. What a poor and fragile creature, the bird used to chirp everyday. After few days, we found that Bitinu was pregnant from her gradually bulging belly. Seemingly, she looks so well-behaved all the time; privately, she does unexpectedly bad things, such as pregnancy and eating the bird, Xiaobao, which are BIG BIG BIG deals.

One day in the early March, Bitinu gave births to her kittens in a quite place with my assistance. However, it was shocked that the first three kittens were died in her womb. When we delivered the fourth kitten, her meowing voice must have been the most beautiful melody in the world. The kitten was noisy all the time; therefore, it was called Naonao, the Noisy in Mandarin.

After Bitinu had delivered her four kittens, her body shrank immediately. Cat cans and milk were prepared to supply her energy, but dumped by Bitinu.

24-hour later, there was another surprising thing that we had one more kitten, the fifth one. This snow white cat is named after the bird, Xiaobao.

Xiaobao and Naonao got along well, however, two days later, Naonoa unfortunately left her kitty world. Xiaobao has become the rarest beauty. SURVIVAL!

If there is something called destiny in this world, I bet that Xiaobao’s destiny must be the complicated one.

"小妞"憨睡在身边,下唇微咬粉红色的舌头,就象"黄妹妹"没事的时候自个儿玩闹儿的样子,调皮极了.她肚子上的毛发,怀孕至今,没有清洗,抚摸上去,有些打结,梳理不顺.但这一点儿也不影响我对她的喜爱.

"小妞"依然象极了一个孩子.尽管,她已是"小宝"的母亲了.

随手梳理她毛发的时候,不小心触到了她的乳头,草草地以为,这也是个"结",轻轻地揪了一下,丝毫没有反应.小宝正在这样伟大的乳汁下成长起来了.我们浑然不觉,已过了日日夜夜.

愈发思考,愈发纠结起来.就象小妞满身的毛发一样.

下午,整理房间之余,可旭想知道我的年龄,猜了许久依然不敢想象,我比他整整大了十岁.随后,他问我有没有结婚,我说没有.有没有小孩,我说也没有.没有结婚,哪儿来的小孩呢?当然,对于一个巴西的小伙子,要理解起中国人的家庭观念,是一件不容易的事情.

其实,小孩和婚姻无关.

猫类的幸福,人类总以为了然.猫类的苦楚,在人类的不屑于中漫延,我却浸入其中.今天是个快乐的日子,但,请允许我,怀念"小妞"那4个夭折的孩子了.

"小宝"是团园客栈的新成员.此篇,也是小宝面世的第一个文字记录和照片记录,无论对小家伙的成长,还是大伙儿的认识,都具有无可替代的重要意义.不过,为了更好地介绍小宝,得先从宝妈妈"小妞"的故事说起.

相信小妞的前世是个妖精.爱臭美,平素日子总一副风情万种的模样,初次见面,会主动八分钟内扑入你怀的主儿.在街上流浪的时候,也不忘记妆扮自己.

一个夜晚,小妞神不知,鬼不觉地,把笼中玉鸟"小宝"吃了,鸟笼丝毫无损.可怜了那个每日"啾啾"鸣叫的生命.

再过些时日,小妞怀上了.其实,只是孕妇的特征愈发显现而已.她总是表面上一副最老实憨态的样子.私底下的事,谁也猜不到.比方说怀孕,食小宝.而这些,都是很大很大的事情.

三月初的一天,小妞在一个很隐秘的地方生产了.我负责接生.震惊的是,头三胎俱是胎死腹中.第四胎旦生时,那点叫声,恐怕是世界上最美的声音了,他一副很闹腾的样子,便唤之为"闹闹".

小妞生完四胎之后,体积迅速萎缩.罐头,牛奶等堆积着补给营养,却常遭弃之.

24小时后,又一个惊人的发现:第五胎旦生了.这就是小宝,浑身纯白.

小宝和闹闹和谐生活.两天后,最闹的"闹闹"不幸离开了猫世.小宝成了最强的尤物,幸存下来.SURVIVAL!

如果世上有因缘,小宝的当是很复杂的.

黄妹妹趴在沙发上，露出两只毛绒绒的白色前爪，一副陌生的表情，凝视着我每一次举手投足．

又一个阳光明媚的清晨开始了!

大东在老式大柜台后说：明天将要下雪！没有雪，只有干冽的北风，那也不算是北京的冬天！雪后的阳光普照万物，是大自然最温情的奢华关怀．

牛公公仍旧躲在绿色的米兰后面，两个眼珠子格溜溜地转动，占据了半张小脸，两片很搞的胡须稳稳地托着，他不很聪明，却绝对敏捷的脑袋瓜！

小美又上到桌子，亮出平衡天才的本身，立身鱼缸薄壁饮水解渴，透过鱼缸滚圆的肚子往上看，小美的舌头象煞是两条粉色的仙人飘带，频频蜻蜓点水状．金鱼也不管她，自顾自地欣赏那份悠闲，依然摇头摆尾，自由自在的样子．当然，那是几尾越过两冬的生命！

我想，小妞这会儿还在做美梦！自从有了身孕，她的脚步愈发轻盈，叫声愈发温柔，怕是惊动了胎气．我却总想去摸摸她的肚皮，猜想，里边会是几个宝宝？

猫，给我们每天最早的笑容．

Xiaomei (The Beauty in Mandarin)

It’s hard to figure out the identification of Xiaomei. Rumor has it that Xiaomei is an extraordinary cat which has experienced life and death. Since she was a kitten, her life has been so dramatically, such as being stuck in the roof and had been meowing for two days. When settling down in the hostel, Chinese Box, she pretended that she was pregnant. After taking care of Xiaomei carefully for months, we found that we had been cheated by the cat. Then, missing in action for a week, Xiaomei was picked back home by me in a hutong, the night after I drank with friends. Xiaomei, MAGIC!

Xiaobai (The White in Mandarin)

Maybe, it’s impossible to find out another cat which is as indecent as Xiaobai. Yet, we cannot blame him for being indecent. Xiaobai is a poor cat, which had been abandoned twice at the time it should be fed in the arms of the mother cat. Even cats have different destinies. Xiaobai is so suspicious, eccentric, and alert that we could undoubtedly call him the best guard of 2008. In addition, Xiao has another little weakness that he utters when sleeping. Sometimes, he is a sleepwalker too. It’s the era of the uniqueness. Xiaobai, COOL.

Bitiniu (The Running Nose Gal in Mandarin)

This is a 100 percent of cat which comes from a humble family, because Bitiniu shows her graceful poses all the time. Even during the lunch time, she is so elegant that she never fights for food against other cats. Yet, the gal yearns for beds so exclusively. Had slept with different men, she would meowed charmingly in the following mornings. It seems that she is telling you that she had enjoyed that night. Bitiniu is so sentimental that we never know who loves whom more in those lustful nights.

Niuer (The initials of a brand of white wine, Niulanshan Erguotou, in Mandarin)

It happened that there were two bottle of white wine, Niulanshan Erguotou, in the car when I picked him up. Then, I yelled “Niuer” out, he happily responded me without doubts. Niuer is indeed a cat with a doggy destiny. Among these cats, Niuer is the onl one which could memorize his name in a short time. What’s more, Niuer really understands human language. He always shows us complicated expressions with his funny moustache and manly attitudes. He is not so interested in beauties, but as speedy as a leopard when it comes to food.

They are all abandoned cats who come to Chinese Box at different times. They share the same material world, live in their own spiritual world.

北京的冬天，平房上空总会盘旋着一阵阵声嘶力竭的叫喊，每次，都令我不觉地想起，那些日子，坐在青藏高原的山坡上，晒着太阳，秃鹫在头顶＂忽忽＂地振动翅膀．

今夜，我想起了毛毛．

毛毛，一个曾经流浪在后海胡同里的波斯猫，小小脏脏地样子．在一个清晨，哀怜的眼神打动了路过的苹果．那些日子，苹果经常捡东西，毛毛就是其中一个．

毛毛刚来的时候，大约是刚断奶的样子，但她天生聪慧，天生爱清洁，天生会撒娇，天生是个明星坯子，她带来享受不尽的快乐，我们帮毛毛洗澡，教她人类的语言，以及练习直力行走，用自己的卫生标准，行为标准，健康标准，以及道德标准，处处在要求着她，锻炼着她，塑造着她．

也是这样的一个夜里，毛毛选择离开了我们．或许，她喜欢富有挑战的生活，或许，她寻找到猫类的自由世界，或许，她误入歧途．我的种种猜测，都没有得到应证．因为，毛毛，再也没有回来．

安逸和自由，有时难于取舍，有时，仅仅是除夕夜里一枝烟花燃放的功夫，就已拿了决定．

毛毛的出走，让我思索起一个简单的道理：一千个生命的眼里，有一千个不同的世界．其中，一定也有猫的世界．我们处处在按照自己的意愿，指责猫类的世界，何尝不是一件愚蠢的事呢？

有人说，猫是奸臣，狗是忠臣．忠与奸，一好一坏，一正一反，本是很稀松平常的．然而，很有意思的是：你就是那个拥有众多臣民的皇帝吗？一个生活在自己世界里的人类，抵制着一个同样生活是自己空间里的猫类，毛毛的出走，留给这个世界一个松松的背影．

我期待，一个太阳初升的清晨，在胡同里，遇见毛毛．

一猫一世界

每个猫，都有灵性．

每个猫，无一例外地活在自己的精神世界里面．

我相信，这是真的．

小美

很难鉴定小美的身份，据说，小美是个经历过生死的非同寻常的猫．打小，她的生活就极具戏剧性，先是被＂卡＂在房顶上、＂喵喵＂地叫了两天．来到团园客栈后，曾一度装着有身孕的样子，我们特殊照顾了几个月后，被识穿．再后来，莫名的失踪一个星期，在一个酒后的夜晚，被我在胡同里捡回．小美，很神奇．

小白

也许，很难找出第二个小白那样＂猥琐＂的猫了．但是，这个不怪他．他身世可怜，本该在妈妈怀里喝奶的年龄，就被遗弃了不下两次，真是同猫不同命．小白身性多疑，孤僻，警惕性极高，做个共和国2008年最最佳哨兵，当之无愧的．除此之外，小白还有个小小的缺点，会讲梦话，有时也会作几下梦游的动作．这年头，流行个性，小白，我行我秀！

鼻涕妞

这是一个百分百的小家碧玉妞，几乎每时每刻都保留一副楚楚动人的模样，即便在吃饭的时候，也是仪态优雅，从不与他猫争食．小妞对床的渴望是独一无二滴，曾经和不同的男人＂睡＂过，次日凌晨，很发嗲的＂喵＂＂喵＂叫上几声，告诉你昨晚妞儿很享受．如此反复的多情，谁又知道是谁宠幸谁多一点儿呢？

牛二

接他那天，正巧有两瓶＂牛栏山二锅头＂在车上，即兴唤他为＂牛二＂，他很领命，享受地样子答应了．牛二真正的＂猫身狗命＂．于众猫之中脱颖而出的，很快熟记自己的名字，且能领会人类语言，表情下面繁杂的内容．牛二有很＂搞＂的胡子，很MAN的样子，对美女不甚感兴趣的样子，在食物面前，他有着豹的速度．

他们都是被遗弃的猫，在不同时候来到了团园客栈，同享物质世界，各守精神世界．
