Impressions of Beijing Box —-Sara

Last night, while I was logging in Facebook, a friend of mine asked me how everything was. I politely answered her, until she started to inquire if I could upload a picture of her and the little rabbit to the album. At that time, I was pondering where the picture she mentioned is.

This girl, Sara, is from Portugal. In the spring of 2008, we spent several happy days in a hutong between the west of Tiananmen and Xidan shopping centers, chatting, walking around, dining in the courtyard, and just simply enjoying the tranquil life in this hustle and bustle world during sunset. Then, she went back to her country to work, and I also faced the milestones of my life. Now I am running the hostel, Chinese Box.

We were having dinner in the courtyard. The second girl from the left-hand side is Sara.

I had gone jogging in the night for a log time before I met Sara. On night, I take a walk with Sara along the route I used to go jogging, from Linjing Hutong, Fuyou Street, Changan Stree. It took us about four hours to wander around Zhongnanhai and Forbidden City,

Put it simply, the neighborhood where the hostel, Chinese Box, locates is the typical humanism area in Beijing. This district used to be the mix of daily lives of common people in hutong and remnants of the royal families in the palace, then it becomes the political center of China. As passing by many different historical buildings toward the east of Tiananmen, we bought several rabbit dolls, the ones we played when we were kids. The color of these rabbit dolls were white, and the light of streetlamps spotted on the dolls in the curtain of night with exotic atmosphere. Then, we were running along the red wall of Forbidden City with these dolls, simple and happy.

Sometimes, we need many reasons to pack our bags and move on to our journey. Even we have enough reasons, we still quit the trip. Sometimes, we just need the hint from the bottom of our heart, to find the simplest happiness live, which we had when we were children.

The globe is round, and those who had met would definitely meet in the future.
