I was at Gubeikou last week and was surprised at the solitude of the place after the climb on that narrow path and up those disjointed stone steps. Someone had the courtesy of occasionally making a path to the sides of the steps, which made the climb easier.
I am looking for a certain view that I thought was at Gubeikou, but I think I was mistaken.
I have an old photograph of the view that I want to replicate.

Since it seems that you are more familiar with the Great Wall, perhaps you can help me. I can email you the image if you are interested.
Thanks,
Peter
